• Are gratuities included?

  Depending on where you choose to sail will depend on whether gratuities are included or not. To make Australians more comfortable gratuities are built into your base fare, cruising internationally gratuities start at $13.99USD per person per day, depending on your stateroom category.

• Can I bring alcohol?

  Alcohol cannot be brought onboard.

• Can I bring bottled water or other non alcoholic drinks?

  No drinks may be brought onto the ship, you can pre purchase bottled water however prior to cruising.

• Is there a dress code on board?

  During the day casual dress is ideal throughout the ship. After 5:30pm smart casual is expected throughout the restaurants and bars.

• WHAT CARNIVAL CRUISE SHIPS DEPART AUSTRALIAN PORTS?

  Carnival Luminosa cruises from Brisbane across the summer between October and April. From April 2025, the rebranded Carnival Encounter will also depart Brisbane on a year-round basis. Carnival Splendor cruises from Sydney all year round and from April 2025 she will be joined by the rebranded Carnival Adventure.

• DO CARNIVAL CRUISE SHIPS HAVE AN ADULTS-ONLY SECTION?

  Yes, the Serenity adults-only cruise retreats are on all Carnival cruise ships and are included in all bookings.

• WHAT PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES DOES CARNIVAL CRUISE HAVE FOR CHILDREN?

  Carnival Cruises offers fleet-wide youth programs that provide fun-filled, age-appropriate activities for children and teenagers between the ages of 6 months and 17 years. Their programs are broken down into specific age groups:

  • Camp Ocean Turtles (Ages 6 months–2 years): enjoy arts and crafts, dancing, educational games and more.
  • Camp Ocean Penguins (Ages 2–5 years): They will participate in a range of fun, regular activities such as arts & crafts, dancing, singing, and more!
  • Camp Ocean Stingrays (Ages 6–8 years): enjoy video games, science experiments, and movies.
  • Camp Ocean Sharks (Ages 9–11 years): consists of thrilling, age-appropriate activities including dancing, sports and scavenger hunts.
  • Circle “C” (Ages 12–14 years): enjoy board games, arts and crafts, karaoke, movies and video games.
  • Club O2 (Ages 15–17 years): enjoy board games, scavenger hunts, dance parties, karaoke, movies and video games.
  • Carnival Cruises also offers their Camp Ocean Night Owls program for children aged 6 months to 11 years old (additional charges apply). Night Owls is available each evening from 10:00 pm through to 1:00 am.

• ARE THERE THEME NIGHTS EXPECTED ON BOARD CARNIVAL CRUISE SHIPS?

  Your Carnival Cruise will also feature a variety of different theme nights that vary depending on the length of your voyage.

  • For 3 and 4-day cruises, you can expect to enjoy both an Elegant Evening and an 80s Rock ‘n’ Glow Deck Party.
  • 5-day cruises will feature an Elegant Evening, 80s Rock ‘n’ Glow Deck Party, and a Superhero night.
  • 6 and 7-day cruises will have 2 Elegant Evenings, 80s Rock ‘n’ Glow Deck Party, Silent White Hot Party and a Superhero night. Cruises 8 or more days will feature 2 Elegant Evenings, 80s Rock ‘n’ Glow Deck Party, Silent White Hot Party, Superhero night, Island night and a Backyard Bash.

• DO CARNIVAL CRUISES HAVE DRINK PACKAGES?

  Yes, Carnival cruises have drink packages for both soft drinks and alcohol. For alcohol: the package is called CHEERS! You can only purchase the Cheers drinks package for all cruises 7 days or longer departing from Australia. You will save $8 per person per day if you pre-purchase the drinks package. For Soft Drink: it's called BOTTOMLESS BUBBLES! This unlimited soft drink package lets you indulge in all-you-can-drink soft drinks and juice.

• WHAT TYPE OF POWER POINTS ARE ONBOARD CARNIVAL CRUISE SHIPS?

  Australian ships (Carnival Luminosa, Carnival Splendor, Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter) ships are fitted with standard Australian sockets however Carnivals international fleet will be equipped with a 3-prong 110 volt (North America Grounded) and a 220 volt (Europe German-Style).

• DOES CARNIVAL CRUISES HAVE A CHRISTMAS CRUISE?

  Yes, both Carnival Cruise ships (Carnival Splendor & Carnival Luminosa) have a Christmas cruise in 2024. The 2024 Christmas cruise from Sydney is called the 8-Night South Pacific Cruise and the 2024 Christmas cruise from Brisbane is called the 7-Night South Pacific Cruise.

• WHAT DISABILITY OPTIONS DOES CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE PROVIDE?

  Wheelchair access, children with special needs, assistance dogs and medical equipment are just some of the many options Carnival Cruise Lines can provide. Please let your Clean Cruising consultant know if you need any assistance for your Carnival cruise. It will expedite your embarkation as there will be no surprises to the team when you arrive on departure day.

• I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION, CAN I STILL TRAVEL ON A CARNIVAL CRUISE?

  Absolutely! We recommend telling your Clean Cruising consultant about any medical conditions, medications or special requirements you have when you complete your booking. Clean Cruising also recommends that you bring a couple of extra days of medication just in case. Note: Clean Cruising strongly recommends you visit your GP to confirm if a Carnival cruise is something you can safely attend.

• DO YOU NEED A PASSPORT TO BOOK A CARNIVAL CRUISE?

  Australian citizens, including minors, are required to present a passport or a government-issued picture ID when going on a domestic cruise. All passengers on international cruises (to places like the South Pacific, New Zealand, Hawaii, and Singapore) need to have passports that expire six months after the date of the cruise return.

• Wi-Fi AND MOBILE COVERAGE ON CARNIVAL CRUISES?

  Wi-Fi is available throughout Carnival ships, including your cabin and in the Internet Café. As for mobile reception, you require International roaming, which requires setting up with your phone provider, which allows for mobile reception. The charge rates will be advised by your provider. Note: Wi-Fi usage is an additional charge.

• DO CARNIVAL CRUISE HAVE AN ONBOARD APP?

  The app is called Carnival HUB app. To get the app, search for it on iTunes and Google Play. You can download and use the app for free on board. Chat is available on the HUB App for a nominal extra cost ($9 for the cruise).

• HOW DO YOU PAY ONBOARD CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE SHIPS?

  During your embarkation process, you will receive your Sail & Sign Card. We link your Sail & Sign Card to your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or AMEX) or debit card (Visa or MasterCard). Your Sail & Sign Card will act as your ‘payment card’ for the duration onboard your Carnival Cruise. You can deposit cash into your Sail & Sign account after you're onboard, if that's how you'd want to pay. Simply visit the Deck 3 Cash Desk or utilise the Kiosks on embarkation day or anytime during your Carnival Cruise. Note: All prices onboard Carnival Cruises are in Australian dollars, except for Transpacific Sailings, which will be charged in US dollars.

• DOES CLEAN CRUISING PROVIDE TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR CARNIVAL CRUISES?

  Yes, speak to your Clean Cruising consultant when booking your Carnival Cruise as we will provide you with an up to date travel insurance that perfectly matches your cruise.

• HOW DO I BOOK MY SPECIAL OCCASION ON CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE?

  Special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and honeymoons can be celebrated on board. Please speak with your Clean Cruising consultant if you're celebrating a special occasion while onboard or planning your cruise to celebrate.

• HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING ON A CARNIVAL CRUISE, WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS?

  For cruises less than five nights, there is a limit of one bag per person, for six nights and longer the limit is two. The maximum size for each piece of luggage in your stateroom is 140cm x 60cm x 40cm. The combined weight of each checked suitcase and carry-on suitcase should not exceed 32 kg.
