View Ships View Most Popular Cruises View Cruises

P&O Cruises UK 2019-2021 Founded 1837, the oldest cruise line in the world, P&O Cruises UK (a Carnival subsidiary) is based in Southampton, England. The line’s six vessels provide all the trimmings that British passengers have come to expect. Most cruises depart from Southampton with some winter cruises from Barbados in the Caribbean. Most itineraries are around 14 nights, though cruises range from two nights to three months. In January each year Arcadia embarks on a 99-night World Cruise that heads west from Southampton via Panama, Australia’s east coast, and Suez. Ventura, and Arcadia are contemporary and innovative, and focus on the first-time younger crowd. Aurora offers a more traditional cruise experience. Arcadia and Aurora are child-free ships. Currently Azura, Oceana, Ventura, Britannia and Iona have family programs and child-friendly areas. P&O, with its non-glitzy British décor and cuisine, specialises in theme cruises and targets British travellers.

P&O ships offer an expanding range of destinations: 270 ports in 90 countries. Passengers can elect for traditional set seating at two sittings (exception is Iona) or dine at any time. Each ship has multiple specialty dining venues, and there are formal evenings for dinner. As the ships sail from the U.K. for much of the year, the weather can be tricky. Ventura, Aurora and Arcadia each have a swimming pool with a retractable glass roof. he ships are known for carrying ballroom instructors and offering theme cruises. The fleet flies the British flag, but ships are registered in Bermuda to allow for weddings at sea. The passenger mix varies with the ship and length of cruise: but all are British. P&O Cruises won Best for New to Cruise in the British Cruise Awards 2018.
