• Are gratuities included?

  If you purchase your cruise through an Australian retailer, gratuities are always incorporated into your fare.

• Can I bring alcohol?

  Guests are able to brings 1 bottle of wine on per person, this must be stored in your carryon.

• Can I bring bottled water or other non alcoholic drinks?

  Guests can bring 12 standard unopened bottles or cans on board, these must be stored in your carryon luggage.

• WHAT ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE SHIPS DEPART AUSTRALIAN HOME PORTS?

  During the Australian summer season [November 2024 - April 2025] Royal Caribbean Cruises is bringing 2 ships to Australia:

  • Ovation of the Seas cruises from Sydney from 1st November 2024 to 3rd April 2025. 

  • Quantum of the Seas cruises from Brisbane from 1st December 2024 to 8th April 2025.

  After which these two ships will travel overseas and will be replaced with 2 new ships for the Australian 2025/ 2026 summer season.

   

  • Anthem of the Seas cruises from Sydney from 31st October 2025 to 11th April 2026.

  • Voyager of the Seas cruises from Brisbane from 13th December 2025 to 28th March 2026.

• DO ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE SHIPS HAVE AN ADULTS-ONLY SECTION?

  Yes, Royal Caribbean has an adults-only section which is called the Solarium. Each ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet has a Solarium which can be accessed free of charge for guests 18 and over.

• WHAT PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES DO ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES HAVE FOR CHILDREN?

  There is an enormous range of activities available on board, so you can explore and enjoy yourselves as a group, or find your own pace for adventure on board Royal Caribbean. With various activities and programmes tailored to the age of each child, the Adventure Ocean Youth Programme provides adventure (as well as education) for children aged 3 to 12 while they are onboard.

  • Aquanauts (for ages 3 to 5 years old) offers bubbling science experiments and a range of different games, toys and crafts to keep them entertained at any time of the day.

  • Explorers (for ages 6 to 8 years old) gives children the chance to enjoy hands-on science experiments, arts and crafts and even the chance to perform at the Adventure Theatre.

  • Voyagers (for ages 9 to 12 years old) offers everything from sports tournaments, and talent shows to scavenger hunts and much more!

  Teens from 13 to 17 years old can enjoy the teens-only exclusive lounge and the Fuel Teen Club. This is a space where they can hang out, listen to music, play video games or even just enjoy their own outdoor patio. Although you might find your teen very keen to spend time with the many activities at the Seaplex including laser tag, dodgem cars and roller skating.

  For those younger travellers, Royal Caribbean also offers their Babies and Tots Programs for 6 - 36 month-olds. Nursery drop-off sessions are filled with age-appropriate activities and toys, a true pint-sized party! This gives parents the chance to drop off their little ones and explore the ship at their own pace while they have peace of mind that their little ones are safe and enjoying themselves.

• ARE THERE THEME NIGHTS EXPECTED ON BOARD ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES?

  Yes, themed nights are offered onboard Royal Caribbean cruises four nights or longer. Themes vary by ship, itinerary, dates and times and will not be published until you board the ship, once on board these themed nights can be found in your Cruise Compass on the Royal Caribbean app.

  Some common themes that Royal Caribbean may offer include Black and White Night, 50’s/60’s/70’s/80’s, Country Western, Masquerade Ball and Toga Parties. Please note that these are examples and are subject to change.

• DO ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES HAVE DRINK PACKAGES?

  There are three different beverage packages for you to choose from to help enhance your vacation.

  • The Classic Soft Drinks Package includes: Coca-Cola Freestyle drinks as well as fountain soft drinks and refills. You will also receive a Coca-Cola souvenir cup with this package.

  • The Refreshment Package includes all the Classic Soft Drinks Package beverages as well as: Premium coffees and teas, freshly squeezed juices, bottled still and sparkling water, non-alcoholic cocktails and milkshakes at Johnny Rockets (select ships only).

  • The Deluxe Beverage Package includes all the Refreshment Package beverages as well as: Unlimited cocktails, spirits, liqueurs, beer and wine by the glass.

  Note: All Beverage Packages exclude any drinks served inside licensed Starbucks outlets.

• WHAT TYPE OF POWER POINTS ARE ONBOARD ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE SHIPS?

  All Royal Caribbean ships are equipped with North American standard, 110 volts AC and standard European 220/230 volts AC outlets. 

  Note: A limited number of adaptors are available onboard for a fee, so make sure you take one with you.

• DOES ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES HAVE A CHRISTMAS CRUISE?

  Royal Caribbean Cruises has Christmas cruises from Sydney and Brisbane.

  • The 2024 Christmas cruise from Sydney is called the New Zealand Holiday Cruise and is 10 nights onboard the Ovation of the Seas.

  • The 2024 Christmas cruise from Brisbane is called the South Pacific Holiday Cruise and is 7 nights onboard the Quantum of the Seas.

  • The 2025 Christmas cruise from Sydney is called the New Zealand Wonders and is 9 nights onboard the Anthem of the Seas.

  • The 2025 Christmas cruise from Brisbane is called the South Pacific Christmas and is 8 nights onboard the Voyager of the Seas.

• WHAT DISABILITY OPTIONS DO ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES PROVIDE?

  When making your reservation, tell your Clean Cruising Consultant if you require a wheelchair or if you have any other special needs. The Royal Caribbean fleet has accommodations that are wheelchair accessible and the Adventure Ocean staff, who are trained in a variety of autism-friendly activities including, sensory-friendly films, toys, and more! The program ensures that every family member will have a wonderful experience onboard. Royal Caribbean cruises also offer a variety of autism-friendly dietary menu options.

• I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION, CAN I STILL TRAVEL ON A ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE?

  Absolutely! We recommend telling your Clean Cruising consultant about any medical conditions, medications or special requirements you have when you complete your booking. Clean Cruising also recommends that you bring a couple of extra days of medication and confirm with your GP if a Royal Caribbean cruise is suitable for your health needs and requirements.

• DO YOU NEED A PASSPORT TO BOOK A ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE?

  Australian citizens, including minors, are required to present a passport or a government-issued picture ID when going on a domestic cruise.

  All passengers on international cruises (to places like the South Pacific, New Zealand, Hawaii, and Singapore) need to have passports that expire six months after the date of the cruise return.

• Wi-Fi AND MOBILE COVERAGE ON ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES?

  To remain connected while onboard every Royal Caribbean Cruise ship has Wi-Fi called VOOM. There are also wired Internet stations (called iCafes) onboard. Internet access costs are variable and might change at any time.

• DOES ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES HAVE AN ONBOARD APP?

  The app is called the Royal Caribbean app. To get the app, search for it on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We recommend downloading this as soon as you’ve booked your holiday. You will be able to access the pre-cruise planner on the app and this will allow you to pre-book both paid and unpaid shows and dining experiences.

• HOW DO YOU PAY ONBOARD ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES?

  During your embarkation process, you will receive your SeaPass card. Your SeaPass Card links to your credit card or debit card (Visa or MasterCard). Your SeaPass Card will act as your ‘payment card’ for the duration onboard your Royal Caribbean cruise. 

  You can deposit cash into your SeaPass account after you're onboard, if that's how you'd want to pay. You can see the balance of your account on the stateroom TV and on the app once you have downloaded it and signed up. 

  Note: All prices onboard Royal Caribbean Cruises will be charged in US dollars.

• DOES CLEAN CRUISING PROVIDE TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES?

  Yes, speak with your Clean Cruising consultant when booking your Royal Caribbean cruise as they can provide you with a comprehensive travel insurance policy that perfectly matches your cruise.

• HOW DO I BOOK MY SPECIAL OCCASION ON ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES?

  Special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and honeymoons can be celebrated on board. Please speak with your Clean Cruising consultant if you're celebrating a special occasion while onboard or planning your cruise to celebrate.

• HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING ON A ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE, WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS?

  Each guest is permitted to bring 90 Kg of luggage on board, however, it is recommended that you limit the number of pieces you take as they all need to be stored in your stateroom. Passengers are reminded to check with airline restrictions.
