Avalon Waterways is a river cruise company owned by the Globus travel companies. Its young fleet of fourteen European river ships is aimed at Australian, New Zealand and North American guests in their 50s or older, as reflected by its cuisine, hotel-style twin beds (or queen), and English-speaking crew. Fares are all inclusive – meals, guides, activities, internet access and tips – providing hotel comforts, as guests arrive at a new destination every day. New features include FlexDining, night fare on request at the bar, and complimentary picnic lunches for guests looking to take their meal off the ship. Cruise only, and if you wish add a pre- or post-cruise tour, or short stays at most any European capital. Cruises of 3- to 26-nights include seasonal themes. All vessels feature a smooth and quiet propulsion system, and outside accommodations on three decks are among the largest staterooms of the river fleets.
