Carnival Paradise Cruises

Carnival Paradise entered service in 1998. At 70,390 GT she carries 2,052 passengers. Her 2018 refit has given her an ‘as-new’ look, sporting mini golf course on the sports deck, refurbished staterooms, new children’s facilities, remodeled restaurants, water parks with whirlpools and three pools, and an adults-only deck. Other features include internet access, library, and spa and fitness facilities.Carnival Paradise offers excellent Las Vegas-style entertainment, a selection of theme bars and lounges, and some of the largest standard cabins in the cruise industry. Past guests give top marks for the ship’s entertainment and its value-for-money. Despite the large number of passengers, there is no sense of being crowded onboard. This well-maintained vessel is ideal for families, veteran travellers, multigenerational groups, honeymooners and singles.

    The ship’s two dining rooms are Destiny and Elation, both attractive and bright, with a choice of fixed-time dining at two seating times, or flexible “Your Time Dining”. Dining assignments can be booked before the cruise. Menus change daily and service is excellent. Breakfast and lunch are open seating. The Lido Restaurant buffet provides hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, salads, ice cream, cookies and so on. Bonsai Sushi specialty restaurant for lunch and dinner.

Cabins

With the latest refurbishment staterooms are like those of a four-star hotel – an elegant retreat from the day’s activities. Choose from 16 grades of accommodation. Interior cabins are spacious, with twin bed or king, and some with an upper bunk. Oceanview staterooms come with either two portholes or large windows. Outside balcony suites and penthouse suites are more spacious and decorated, with whirlpool tubs, and decked out with marble and wood. Suite guests have priority check-in at US homeland ports.

All staterooms include flat-screen television, personal safe, and Carnival Comfort Bed with plush mattresses, good quality duvets, linens and pillows, swanky bathrooms; and sample sizes of personal items in a bowl or basket. Outside cabin guests have white fluffy towels and bathrobe. Television channels include CNN, CNN International, in-house channels, Cartoon Network, ESPN, two movie channels (and a separate one that is geared to children), ABC, CBS, and NBC. Room service is available 24-hours, with a greater range of menu for suite guests. There are no single cabins, and 22 cabins that are wheelchair-accessible.)
