Viking Ocean Cruises currently has 9 identical ships, with plans to continue growing to 17 ships within the next decade. Featuring smaller, elegant vessels, no kids and no casinos, Viking Ocean Cruises has become a very popular cruise line for the discerning traveller.

Viking Ocean Cruises launched in 2013 with headquarters in Los Angeles and Switzerland. The line attracts experienced travelers from the UK, USA and Australia with an interest in geography, culture and history. This luxury line includes most drinks, a tour at each port, Wi-Fi, gratuities and specialty meals. There are few ‘sea days’ and long daylight stays at ports of call.

So, if you wish to travel with the world’s most modern ocean line, offering an upper-premium experience, just choose which part of the World you’ve always wanted to visit, and take an unforgettable vacation. Viking’s all-inclusive cruises mean guests are freed from concern about additional costs here and there.

  • Dining

    Dining with Viking Cruises

Viking specialises on destination-focused dining, while still offering traditional Western menus. Of the 10 dining venues, The Restaurant seats 284 and serves three full meals changing daily. The menu includes regional cuisine and always-available American classics enhanced with locally sourced ingredients. Alcoholic drinks are inclusive.

The glassed-in dining room opens to the promenade and views of passing scenery. All tables are for six persons. There are three alternative restaurants. At Manfredi’s Italian chianti by the carafe, freshly prepared pastas and generous antipasto are accompanied by fresh seafood. At The Chef’s Table sommeliers and culinary masters create the perfect pairing of food and wine during a multicourse tasting. World Café has open kitchens and buffet-style meal service, with deli, pasta and wok stations, sushi bar and desert choices. Dine inside, or al fresco on the Aquavit Terrace. For breakfast try Mamsen in the Explorer’s Lounge, with Norwegian specialties. For casual dining try lighter meals at the Pool Grill. Each afternoon the very English Wintergarden provides tea and pastries, backed by the strains of a string quartet. Twenty-four hour room service offers everything from breakfast to signature dishes. There’s an on-board cooking school for guests who wish to learn how to prepare local specialties. All ship-wide service comes from Swiss-trained personnel.
