Tema – nick-named the “Harbour Town” - is a city on the Atlantic Ocean coast of West Africa, 25 km east of the capital city of Accra, in Ghana. Takoradi is an important deepwater seaport situated on the gulf of Guinea in southern Ghana. Although older and larger, it actually combined with its sister city Sekondi in 1946, and today, known as Sekondi-Takoradi, is the capital of the Western Region of Ghana.
