4.1
(from 374 verified customers)

Ovation of the Seas is all about innovation and excitement! The third of five Quantum Class ships, this ship boasts many cruise ships firsts - she’s truly a destination in herself. Guests can take adventure to new heights on the rock climbing wall, experience the thrill of skydiving on the RipCord by iFly, or carve it up on the FlowRider surf simulator. After all of that you can ascend over 91 metres above sea level in the North Star. All of this can be done while soaking up the breathtaking views on the many fantastic ports that are to be visited. Onboard you can treat your tastebuds to a whirlwind tour around the world with Italian at Jamie’s Italian, American Steakhouse classics at Chops Grille and the many over the top creations that bring dreams to reality at Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine.

Taking to the seas in April 2016, the Ovation of the Seas is one of the newest ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet. The Ovation of the Seas is a Quantum Class ship with a gross tonnage of 168,666 and can accommodate over 4,000 guests over its 16 passenger decks. Her sister ships are Quantum of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, Spectrum of the Seas and the soon to be launched Odyssey of the Seas. The Ovation of the Seas offers a wide selection of adventure, cruise activities and dining experiences for all ages! Read more

With all the fun-filled activities and facilities aboard, the ship is a magnet for families. Fun-loving couples, singles and groups of all ages will make up the rest of your fellow passenger mix. Royal Caribbean keeps a relaxed air aboard, which is reflected in the dress code - day time is casual, whilst evening is usually smart casual. For those that love to dress up, you can still frock up in the evenings should you wish to but there are no designated dress-up nights.

Of the 2,090 staterooms, 1,570 are balcony staterooms, 147 are outside staterooms and 373 are “virtual balcony” staterooms (interior rooms with near floor-to-ceiling HD screens with real-time views of the ocean and destinations). Of the overall staterooms, 34 are wheelchair accessible with excellent facilities, 16 are family-connected, 16 are studio interior staterooms, and 12 are balcony studio staterooms.

These staterooms are based on a new modular design, with a “more residential atmosphere”, and all the gadgetry you‘d wish for, including USB ports. Interior View Studios are for single occupancy with no single supplement, yet come with full size bed and bathroom, can sleep up to two, and on your flat-screen television view real-time outside views - interesting and novel. Ocean View Staterooms come with two twin beds and panoramic window. There are 14 suite categories, all with balconies, that include Spa (with hot tub), Loft (two decks overlooking the aft of the ship), and Owner’s, and come variously with large entertainment areas, fabulous views, two bathrooms and dining areas. Choose your level of luxury for your family size. In all categories of staterooms there are some cabins that are inter-connecting to accommodate families. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom or any stateroom balcony. Cigarette, cigar, e-cigarette and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas.)
