Cruises from Tema
Tema – nick-named the “Harbour Town” - is a city on the Atlantic Ocean coast of West Africa, 25 km east of the capital city of Accra, in Ghana. The Prime Meridian (0 deg. latitude) passes through the port, which is also just 614km north of the equator, situating it closer to the "centre" of the Earth geographical coordinates than any other habitat. Originally a small fishing village, it grew after the construction of Africa’s largest artificial harbour in 1961, and is now the nation's largest sea port.
The road layout, industrial and recreational areas, and social amenities are in advance of many other African cities.
