Today, he is dedicated to guiding his guests through the vast and ever-evolving range of ocean and river cruise options. What is your favourite cruise destination you visited & why?
With fewer than 1% of the world’s population ever stepping foot there, Antarctica remains Michael’s most extraordinary destination to date. Its remote exclusivity, wildlife encounters, and profound history make it a once-in-a-lifetime journey. The Galápagos takes a close second, offering its own unmatched blend of nature and discovery. In Michael’s view, both destinations are must-do experiences while on this earth.
What is your favourite cruise ship & why?
Choosing a favourite proves a challenge, but for different reasons, two ships stand out. Silver Endeavour is Michael’s top choice for expedition vessel, thanks to its exceptionally knowledgeable, warm, and engaging expedition team. And Crystal Serenity is his favourite classic ship for its luxurious atmosphere, outstanding entertainment, famously attentive crew, and the culinary highlight of Umi Uma (Nobu).
