Azamara Quest Cruises

4.4
(from 18 verified customers)

Azamara Quest is one of eight R-class ships now owned by three luxury cruise lines, and which to this day are very popular. The vessel looks extra sparkling following its 2019 refurbishment. The ship is able to access ports not visited by larger vessels. Carrying just 704 passengers, its elegant public spaces appear uncrowded. Her staterooms have recently been revitalised, and personalised service is a hallmark.

Your fellow guests will likely be adults-only and seniors, well-travelled and conversational. Azamara features include: exceptional cuisine, health and fitness programs, longer stays in port, and carefully selected land tours. Fares are inclusive of most everything that is usually an additional cost on a cruise – and that’s refreshing. Special needs are cared for, and single fare supplements are exceptionally low.)

Clean cruising tip

Enjoying bingo and a few drinks is always a good time at sea, also the free wine tasting and caviar was a treat too!

Onboard Experience

  • Dining

    Dining on the Azamara Quest

All dining venues have open seating at tables for two, four, and more. Dress is ‘resort casual’ and evening wear is optional. The main dining room, Discoveries, with large ocean-view windows, seats 340. Anticipate fine cuisine and exceptional service.

Excellent house wines (and beers) are complimentary with meals, or you may wish to select something extra special as advised by your sommelier. There is a modest surcharge for non-suite guests’ evening dining by reservation in the two specialty restaurants. Both are aft, with great water views – Prime C is a classic steakhouse, and Aqualina serves ‘tastes of the Mediterranean’ from Italy, Greece, France and Morocco – the menus of which are impressive. There are four venues for casual dining. Windows Café buffet is situated aft of the pool deck with its indoor and outdoor settings. Adjacent to the pool is the Patio with sit-down al fresco dining.

During the day sit forward in the Living Room lounge for teas and coffees along with delicious breakfast pastries, finger sandwiches, and sweets. In the afternoon it serves hot and cold tapas, and in the evenings there’s dancing, karaoke, live music and the services of a sommelier; and occasionally specialty performances and chef’s desserts. Alongside the shops and casino is Mosaic Café, also for coffee or tea and nibblies, which is a great place to recline in comfort for conversation and board games. The new Swirl & Top offers self-serve frozen yoghurt.)

  • Entertainment

    Entertainment on the Azamara Quest

After dinner retire to Cabaret Lounge for shows casting talented singers and entertainers, offering a mix of classical concerts, revues, comedy and drama. The entertainment has a cultural tone to it, and local artists come aboard at various destinations. Evenings in Discoveries Lounge and Looking Glass for conversation and drinks are accompanied by background music. Adjacent to Cabaret Lounge is the casino.

By day on board activities include game shows, music, movies and quizzes, or quiet time in the library. Guest lecturers address a wide range of topics as part of the Azamara Discovery Enrichment Series program. On-shore excursions are preceded by presentations about local history and culture

Highlights

  • Everyone from the captains to the dinner servers puts the guests as their top priority. You might say it’s because we have hospitality in the DNA. But it’s because the staff and crew love what they do. And once you experience an Azamara voyage firsthand, you’ll love what we do too.

  • There’s nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views. Azamara’s friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

  • Whether you’re greeted with a cool towel, a warm smile, or a glass of sparkling wine after a rewarding day spent onshore, the staff and crew are always ready and waiting to welcome you home.

Cabins

Select between 44 Suites, 205 Verandah, 77 Oceanview (panorama window, porthole or obstructed) or 26 Interior Staterooms. There are five wheelchair accessible staterooms, all near elevators. Remember that singles pay a very low excess for a cabin. Many staterooms and suites are inter-connected, have a convertible sofa bed for a third guest, and even an upper bunk for a fourth guest. All staterooms have 24-hour room service and a room-service menu.

Plush bedding and bathrobes, welcoming flowers, refrigerator with mini-bar, shoeshine and turn-down service, and daily news bulletin are some of the services and amenities for all staterooms. Suites come with floor-to-ceiling glass doors and outdoor veranda. Suites have the services of a butler, and in-suite dining from the full restaurant menu for lunch and dinner. Many other niceties include priority check-in, unpacking and packing of luggage, welcoming drinks, daily afternoon canapés and tea service, and complimentary seating throughout the voyage in the specialty restaurants. The largest suites are the six Club World Owners Suites overlooking the ship’s wake and four Club Ocean Suites viewing forward. Two newly added suites are Spa Suites. Elevators service all decks.)
