Remich, in the SE part of Luxembourg, lies on the left bank of the Moselle River, which forms part of the border between Luxembourg and Germany. The Moselle valley is dominated by wine-making and many small wine-making towns, of which Remich is one of the most picturesque tourist town. Visitors enjoy touring the St Martin wine cellars which are situated at the northern edge of the town, hollowed out of the rock, and devoted to wine and champagne production. They may also have the opportunity to taste the wines.

Remich is particularly famous for its Esplanade along the Moselle, where every Sunday many people from France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg come to walk alongside the river. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bock is just a brisk 10 minute walk from the town centre. It provides a very good place to view the old city defences. It is not wheelchair accessible, and all should be careful on the tricky stairs. Piscine Remich, with its wide range of restaurants, is especially designed as an outdoor escape for visitors of all nationalities. Other points of interest include Fontaine Bacchus, a delightful fountain, and the Saint-Nicolas Spa that is really clean, modern and child friendly.

A delightful way to explore Remich is to take a boat cruise, as there are many trips on offer, of varying durations. Alternatively, take a ride in the tourist’s train, Jangeli, that runs through the region. Also on offer are mini-golf, walking tours, and riding along the cycling tracks. Enjoy a walk along the main road and park that run parallel to the river. If feeling energetic take a walk on the slopes that fall gently to the banks of the river, and enjoy viewing the picturesque vineyards that produce the most exquisite wines in Europe.
