Spectrum of the Seas Cruises
As Royal Caribbean's newest ship, Spectrum of the Seas launched in April 2019. This is the first ship in the Ultra Quantum Class, at 168,800 GT, with 16 guest decks and 4246 passengers. Spectrum of the Seas embraces a number of first-ever cruise features such as the line’s first private enclave for suite guests, and new stateroom categories. First-at-sea features include Sky Pad, a virtual reality bungee trampoline experience located at the rear of the ship, and Star Moment, a lively karaoke venue.
Spectrum introduces the two-level, three-bedroom, 261 sq.m. Ultimate Family Suite, accommodating up to 8 guests. It includes a master bedroom with bathroom facilities boasting ocean views and a recreation room with surround-sound equipment for karaoke, movies or video games. Other Quantum ship features are: top deck adult solarium and pool with retractable roof; the complimentary North Star, a London Eye-style capsule on the top of the ship on an articulated arm that swings passengers over the ocean at a height of 100m above sea level; a sky diving wind tunnel in a flight chamber made of glass; robotic entertainment display screens; and for kids and young-at-heart adults there are bumper cars, a surf simulator, roller skating, and circus facilities.
