Celebrity Edge is Celebrity’s first new ship design in 10 years, marking a turning point in the evolution of design for the future of Celebrity Cruises. The ship introduces a cantilevered side platform – The Magic Carpet. This multi-purpose platform allows for fast embarkation and tendering and converts to an alfresco expansion of the Lido deck with “Dinner on the Edge." Brand new concepts thoughtfully designed for the 'Edge,' with infinite Verandas and terraced pool decks that will leave guests impressed by this transformational experience that blurs the boundaries of outdoor and indoor living.

Celebrity Edge presents a complete re-think of cruise ship engineering, features and design. British architect Tom Wright (of Burj Al Arab in Dubai fame) designed the Magic Carpet, Rooftop Garden, Solarium, and Resort Deck. Balconies have become “Infinite Verandas” that provide either a full-height-glass view over the water edge; or with closed bi-fold glass doors become an outdoor ‘French-balcony’ and inside living area.

With the first option, your stateroom has unobstructed sea views but with the comfort of full AC and 23% more floor space as compared with Solstice Class ships in the fleet. The vessel is designed to cater to all ages – from singles, to multi-generational families (as it has many inter-connecting staterooms). Deck 2’s expansive multi-purpose ‘foyer’ facilitates fast embarkation, and which during the cruise can be set up for lectures, teen activities, and conferences. The Retreat, a suite-only enclave, features a private pool on its sundeck. The Retreat Lounge brings a heightened level of style and sophistication, along with personal butler service.

Celebrity Edge offers 29 dining options. There are four main dining rooms (American, French, Italian, and seafood) with the traditional two seating options or ‘any time’ dining. Luminae restaurant is forward in the Retreat, and exclusive to all suite guests. Blu dining is for AquaClass guests. There are seven specialty dining venues, with cover charge and by reservation. Menus include American, French, steak, seafood. Specialty dining is complimentary to higher class guests.

Room service is assured 24 hours a day from a limited menu of sandwiches, pizzas, salads and desserts. For casual meals there's a self-service buffet with multiple serving lines, and freshly-made pasta, grill, sushi and pizza. Eden is a 3-story rooftop garden-inspired restaurant with bar & lounge which serves grills during the day, and hosts a variety of functions throughout the day.

Eden, like so many aspects of Celebrity Edge, Eden represents another revolution in modern luxury travel. It’s a space where nature is so present, It is called “a room that lives.”
Prepare yourself for some of the best views aboard as you soar over the open ocean on the Magic Carpet. The highlight of the outward-facing vision, this incredible engineering feat is the world’s first cantilevered, floating platform that reaches heights of 13 stories above sea level.

Cabins

The ship offers a full range of cabins: Interior (2 classes, 9%), Ocean view (3 classes, 10%), with Verandas (6 classes) and Suites (10 classes) making up 81% of staterooms. The largest single class comprises 512 Edge Staterooms with Infinite Verandas. Across the range are wheelchair accessible cabins (all non-suite), staterooms for 3 or 4 guests, and 178 connecting rooms. All staterooms have king-sized beds, apart from the 16 Edge Singles with queen beds. With touch of a button select open-air access, personalised lighting, shades, temperature and room service.

The 146 Sky Suites are arranged with beds facing the ocean. Accommodations also include all the other stateroom categories of the Solstice Class ships: Royal, Family, AquaClass, Concierge and Sunset Veranda. Famed South African interior designer Kelly Hoppen has created bespoke furnishings worthy of the finest hotels. Two Iconic Suites (like NY penthouses) lie above the Captain’s bridge. These 176 sq.m. two-bedroom, two-bathroom staterooms feature panoramic windows enveloping the dining room, living room and bedrooms. The 64 sq.m. veranda offers a 270-degree view of the ocean, with private Jacuzzi and cabana. The two two-bedroom, two-bathroom Penthouse Suites feature a master bedroom, bathroom, and dressing room, walk-in closets, living/dining area, guest bedroom and bathroom, terrace, and private hot tub, plus an attentive butler. Celebrity Edge for families starts with Camp At Sea, a program developed and designed exclusively for kids ages 3 to 12. Open every day from 9:00am - 10:00pm.

Kids can participate in several entertaining activities, including treasure hunts, arts and crafts, sports, and theme parties, all under the supervision of our experienced youth staff.
