Cruises from Nierstein
Nierstein lies on the Rhine between Mainz and Worms where the Flugelsbach empties into the Rhine. It is said to be built on a site on which a Roman settlement stood over 2,000 years ago. Surrounded by 2700 acres of vines, Nierstein is the largest wine-growing community on the Rhine and boasts Germany's oldest documented vineyard, Glock, surrounding St. Kilian's Church.
