Cruises visiting Margarita Island & all Margarita Island cruises for  2019

View Margarita Island 2019 cruises for 1 ships listing 2 cruises from Margarita Island with today's best deals!

Margarita Island is a mountainous tropical Caribbean island paradise located off the north shore of Venezuela. Famous for its delightful tropical beaches lined with palm trees, and its average of 300 days of sun each year, it is a Caribbean island that moves to a South American beat. Included in the natural attractions of Margarita Island are its mangrove swamps and lagoons. The best beach is found at El Agua on the east coast while the north has some of the island’s most spectacular scenery. It offers, with a laid-back South American vibe, an excellent range of activities that include: windsurfing, scuba diving, horseback riding, and several golf courses. It is also famous for its pirate legends, woven hammocks, and delicious Venezuelan coffee.

Browse the duty-free shops for a bargain, tuck into the fresh seafood at one of the beachside restaurants, and take a stroll down one of the avenues of Polomar to find delightful luxurious boutiques. Many visitors choose a bike tour to take in the standout scenery and the island’s signature cacti fields, while others visit the nearby Coche Island by catamaran and head straight for the beach for sheer relaxation. A trip in a 4x4 gets visitors off the beaten track to the west side of Margarita that is completely unspoiled and where visitors appreciate untouched beaches and soaring mountains.

Hop on a boat and explore La Restinga National Park. This huge lagoon is surrounded by mangrove swamps and its waters are full of oysters and sea horses. The small town of El Valle del Espiritu Santo is a delightful place to visit for those interested in getting acquainted with the culture and traditions of Venezuela. Other places worth visiting are: the Basilica Virgen del Valle that features an image of Mary and is particularly popular with Spanish visitors, as well as the expanding Sambil Margarita shopping centre considered by many to be the best in town.
