Union Island is part of the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, lying 200 km WSW of Barbados and within view of the islands of Carriacou and Grenada to the south. From some views the island shows a backbone of irregular peaks (to around 300m), hence the name ‘The Tahiti of the West Indies’, especially when misty.
