Cruises visiting Bodrum & all Bodrum cruises for  2019-2020

View Bodrum 2019-2020 cruises for 1 ships listing 2 cruises from Bodrum with today's best deals!

Bodrum Peninsula is located in the Aegean region of Turkey. The Aegean Coast is an extraordinary place, with its immense unspoilt coastline and warm climate which offers all year round sunshine. The place where the first Christian Church was built, and where the art of wine making was developed, it boasts astonishing historical sites and natural wonders that rival any other place in the world. The sense of history is never too far away on the Bodrum peninsula, with ancient ruins, such as Myndus Gate (Alexander's Gateway to the East), the Bodrum Amphitheatre, and beautiful Rabbit Island, to remind you of past cultures and civilisations.

Today Bodrum is an important centre of trade, art and entertainment as it has been since centuries ago. This coastal town in which traditional and modern life go along hand in hand in, opens it arms to all visitors. Bodrum's ancient theatre may be small but it's been beautifully restored. Views from the upper tiers, out towards the mountains, are superb. There are several lengthy walks of up to four hours, which take in other exciting archaeological sites such as Pedasa, the best preserved Lelegian city site that still exists. However as some of these are still being worked, take your own food and drink.

Well worth visiting is the Castle of St. Peter, which is visible on arrival, and was originally used as a fortress. It now houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, which chronicles the history of shipwrecks off the Turkish Coast. You could take a boat tour to various stations along the harbour, or enjoy a walk, sit on a bench, and simply enjoy the view of townspeople relaxing, and the beautiful Aegean Sea. With a range of cuisines at fantastic and reasonably priced restaurants, we encourage you try the local food.
