Cruises from Cape Dezhnev
Cape Dezhnev - named after Russian navigator Semyon Dezhnev who discovered it in 1648 - is a cape that forms the easternmost mainland point of Asia. It comprises the eastern tip of the Chukchi Peninsula, in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (federal subject) of Russia. It is separated from the western Cape Prince of Wales in Alaska by the Bering Strait that is just 82km wide. Of the four historical villages on the cape itself, only Uelen is still inhabited.
