Cruises visiting Subic Bay & all Subic Bay cruises for  2019-2020

View Subic Bay 2019-2020 cruises for 2 ships listing 4 cruises from Subic Bay with today's best deals!

Subic Bay lies on the west coast of Luzon Island, the Philippines, facing the South China Sea. Eighty kilometres to the ESE is the national capital Manila on the same island. Formerly the home of a large US naval base, Subic Bay is now an industrial and commercial area. Mount Pinatubo lies just 37 km to the north of Subic Bay. The naval base was covered in snow-like volcanic ash. A year after its massive eruption in 1991 saw Subic Bay revert to Philippine control and named Subic Bay Freeport Zone, opened to the public. The waterfront boardwalk provides an excellent view of Subic Bay.

The Pamulaklakin Nature Park is a reserve area of Binictican. The Pamulaklakin Trail is located within Binictican Height, a residential complex in Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. Explore the ‘forest’ with its scenic views, from aboriginal tribesmen (Aetas) learn survival skills, and enjoy a picnic lunch. There’s Magaul Bird Park, with guides and shows to inform and entertain. And in Subic Bay is the Ocean Adventure open water marine theme park, with live shows and aquariums. Play with tigers in Zoobic Safari (you’re inside a cage, not the tigers). Between Ocean Adventure and Zoobic Safari is Bat Kingdom, home to 10,000 small fruit bats, in the largest protected forest reserve of its kind in the world.

For shoppers, SBFZ has rows of duty free shops and specialty outlets to whet the appetite and satisfy your spending spree. Interestingly, the Bay covers ship wrecks from the Spanish-American war (1898) and Japanese and American ship wrecks from WWII. Subic Bay Wreck Diving takes divers to parts of the Bay protected from serious weather, and which preserves the wrecks.
