Cruises visiting Harstad & all Harstad cruises for  2019-2020

View Harstad 2019-2020 cruises for 4 ships listing 9 cruises from Harstad with today's best deals!

Harstad, the third largest city in northern Norway, is situated 250 km north of the Arctic Circle. Surprisingly, the city has relatively mild winters and cool summers, despite being one of the places where, from the end of May to the middle of July, visitors get to see the Midnight Sun, an experience that becomes a lifetime memory. Harstad is the home port for the Anna Rogde - also known as the sailing queen of Norway - the world’s oldest sailing schooner. There are many attractive neighbourhoods and villages to visit within, and surrounding, the city.

With its mix of old and new architecture, the city provides a good atmosphere and there are some wonderful excursions to undertak, regardless of whether you want to go cycling, hiking or even taking a drive to the Loften Islands. What you must not forget to do is visit one of the delightful restaurants to try some reindeer, fresh fish, lamb, fresh berries and mushrooms mixed with international cooking. The long, bright summer days are perfect if you like hiking in the mountains and forests. This is also the place to visit if you want to go on deep-sea rafting trips.

Harstad is a municipality comprised entirely of islands, and also covers a large number of smaller islands and islets, offering white sandy beaches and fine fishing and bathing spots. When you visit Harstad you will discover a pleasant town and a surrounding area with a rich array of culture and nature-based experiences. Harstad is a mix of old and contemporary architecture which, in combination with the town's many cafés and restaurants, provide a good atmosphere. In the last week of June Harstad hosts the annual Festival of Northern Norway, a cultural celebration featuring a mix of amateur and professional artists.
