Cruises from Chesterfield Islands
Chesterfield Islands constitute an archipelago located in the Coral Sea, 550 km west of the northern tip of Grande Terre, the main island of the French overseas country of New Caledonia. The islands are spread over 120 km by 70 km, made up of 11 uninhabited coral sand cays and many reefs, their highest point only 12 m. Some cays are covered with grass, creepers and low trees; others shift with the wind. The islands and barrier reef that surrounds Chesterfield lagoon encompass 3500 sq.km.
