Rasdhoo is an inhabited island lying in the centre of the island-chain country of The Maldives, in the Indian Ocean SW of the southern tip of India. It is located in the Alif Alif Atoll 56 km west of the capital Malé. Its welcoming population of 1500 doesn’t seem to crowd the island which, seen from the distance, stands out with its two tall communication towers. This small island – just 550m across – is covered with greenery, with 16 guest houses and a small marina that services local ferries.
