Cargados Bank (Cargados Carajos Shoals, Saint Brandon) is an Indian Ocean archipelago that lies 410 km to the NNE of Mauritius and its capital Port Louis. The archipelago includes sand banks, shoals and about 40 islets, the number varying with storm weather and sand movements. The major islands are Albatross, Raphael, Avocaré, Cocos and Île du Sud. Cargados Bank is part of the territory of Mauritius and is grouped within the Outer Islands of Mauritius.
