Cruises from Ventspils
Ventspils (“Castle on the Venta”) is a town and ice-free port (population 40,000) in the NW of Latvia, situated on the Venta River and facing the Baltic Sea. Ventspils Castle is one of the oldest and most well-preserved Livonian Order (Catholic military order) castles remaining, in that it has retained its original layout since the 13th C.
