Cruises from Iwakuni
Iwakuni borders the Seto Inland Sea of Japan, on the island of Honshu in Yamaguchgi Prefecture. Its population is just 104,000. The region is an industrial area that supports a petroleum refinery, and manufacture of paper pulp, paper-making, and artificial yarns. For tourists, the most popular site is the restored Kintai Bridge (1673), with five timber arches and four stone piers on the river bed.
