Always had great service from Bridgit and Tracey prior .. sometimes feel you don't get rewarded for loyalty as we have put quite a few a lot of clients through over our 5 cruises .. we were most rewarded with princess cruises .."

Dobo is the main port and capital of the Aru Islands, a group of about 95 low-lying islands in the Maluku province of eastern Indonesia. It is situated on Wamar Island, just off the largest island Tanahbesar and about 700 kms north of Darwin. Located west from Dobo is Batu Kora beach, a white sandy beach overgrown with coconut trees, a recreation spot for the local people. Pearl farming is a major source of income for the island. Other export products include sago, coconuts, tobacco, mother of pearl, trepang (an edible sea cucumber, which is dried and cured), tortoiseshell, and bird of paradise plumes. These islands are famous as pearl farming area, especially in Dobo which is known for its Dobo Pearl. During World War 2, and aided by the local Japanese pearling fleet, Dobo was invaded and for a short period was a Japanese Japanese float-plane base until retaken by Allied forces and used as a major staging point.
