Chios, the fifth largest of the Greek islands, is the main town on the island of the same name and is situated in the Aegean Sea just off the Turkish coast. Welcome to Chios, a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered. Fragrant and hospitable all year long, together with the smaller islands, Oinousses and Psara, it offers delightful images and experiences. It is certainly a place where the tourist feels more like a guest, and has the opportunity to discover many values and traditions the mass tourism has driven away from other places. You could visit the Olympic Cave, considered by many as a 'miracle of nature.'

Despite a disastrous earthquake in 1881, in the heart of town a part of the old city (with its neo-classical buildings, mosques and buildings with a strong Arabic influence) still remains. Also within the town, other places of interest include the public gardens, the ancient theatre, the Maritime Museum, the statue of Kanaris, the ruins of the walls of ancient Chios, and the Genovese Castle. Don't forget the eleventh century monastery of 'Nea Moni', a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rich Chios history, the various monuments and the crystal-clear beaches are just few of the things that make Chios unique among other islands.

Kambos represents a unique residential and agricultural site, covered by a dense network of small roads and endless gardens with flowers and citrus trees, very close to the capital of Chios. The mansions, as well as the side buildings, the citrus gardens and the intricate irrigation systems of these estates, all are regarded as of great historical significance throughout the centuries. The Archaeological Museum located near the harbour contains many collections such as the prehistoric and archaic finds from the excavations of the British School at Emporeio, as well as other various discoveries.
