Consultant was great. Hotel she suggested in Singapore was lovely. Will deal with her again. Emails received at different stages before and after made us feel very looked after. Thanks again."

St Helier is one of the twelve parishes of Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands in the English Channel. While the urban area makes up part of the largest town of the island - as well as being its capital - it is predominately rural. Not to be missed is the official Site of Special Interest, the Central Market. This indoor market comprising stalls selling flowers, fruit, and vegetables, as well as small shops and cafés, was opened in 1882 and features a central ornamental fountain and cast iron structures as part of the Victorian architecture.

While there visit the Beresford Market, right next door, which specialises in fish mongery. The coast of St. Helier stretches from The Dicq in the east to Millbrook in the west. Discover the rich maritime heritage of this port by taking a walk that brings these two sides of St Helier together and discover a story of remarkable courage. Points of interest include La Collette Gardens, Snow Hill terminus, Royal Square, and the Waterfront Centre, to name but a few. You will undoubtedly enjoy the range of refreshments on offer along the way.

Very important to many is visiting Liberation Square in the centre of St Helier. It is home to the liberation statue which is well worth seeing, as it makes you feel part of the history and memories that Jersey holds. When visiting St Helier you've got to visit Elizabeth Castle and it's good value for money. There's a car/boat that takes you over which doesn’t take long. The views from the castle into the sea are beautiful. There are ruins to walk around with information about the history of the castle, and in addition, a cafe and small gift shop.
