Cruises visiting Bristol & all Bristol cruises for  2019

View Bristol 2019 cruises for 2 ships listing 7 cruises from Bristol with today's best deals!

Bristol, a quirky British city with beautiful hilly vistas and plenty of historic sights to explore, is located in SW England, and is England's 6th largest city. It is also one of England's sunniest cities and has one of the milder climates. A centre of culture, employment and education in the region, it is famous for its music and film industries. At the harbour one can board Brunel’s SS Great Britain and discover the true stories behind the ship that changed the world. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of life on board for Victorian passengers and crew. The Clifton Suspension Bridge is another must-see.

Many walk the bridge, but all should at least visit the small tourist office and gift shop that highlights the historical building of this graceful structure. Also well worth a visit is Blaise Hamlet - possibly the cutest hamlet in England - that is comprised of a little picturesque and very quaint group of houses near to Blaise Estate. Close to the heart of Bristol is Arnos Vale Cemetery where the history of the city is told in a leafy and tranquil setting, rich in walks, wildlife, architecture, fascinating displays, and memorials, is a popular destination.

Step back in time when you visit St Mary Redcliffe Church. It is a beautiful and imposing building with magnificent ceilings and stone carvings, and a beautifully carved wooden screen. While there don't miss the beautiful 'random' water pendulum feature, and take time to read the excellent interpretation panels. Then there’s the 18th C Georgian House, a six storey townhouse in the centre of Bristol that has been restored and decorated to its original glory. If feeling energetic then be sure to climb the 80 steps to the top of the Cabot Tower for some amazing views.
