Twice I've used Clean Cruising, and have had excellent service both times, and with follow up information. I have and will further recommend you to others. Nothing was too much trouble.I'm hoping to do another cruise early next year, taking my grandson with me, so I'll be using Clean Cruising again. Thank you"

Bremerhaven (Bremer Port is a city at the seaport of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, in the Federal Republic of Germany. It is located at the mouth of the River Weser and enters directly to the North Sea (not the Baltic Sea). The city has a long history as a trade port and today plays a crucial role in Germany's trade. The main attractions for tourists are the German Emigration Centre and the German Maritime Museum on the historical harbour, with many museum ships such as the Type XXI U-boat Wilhelm Bauer, the Seute Deern (a three-masted sailing vessel), and the Hansekogge, a vintage ship dating from 1380.

As a relatively new city, it has just a few historical buildings, and the high street and city centre are almost entirely post WWII. The main attractions for tourists are found at the Havenwelten (maritime quarter) and include: the German Emigration Centre; the German Maritime Museum, featuring the Hansekogge, a vintage trading sailing vessel dating from 1380 and excavated in Bremen in 1962; and The Bremerhaven Zoo, reopened in 2004 after a lengthy renovation. It features Arctic wildlife, both terrestrial and marine. The latest addition is the Climate House from 2009, simulating travel adventure along the 8th line of longitude and dealing with climate issues.

Another tourist spot is the Fischereihafen (fishing port) in Geestemünde which also houses an aquarium (the Atlanticum). Every five years Sail Bremerhaven is held (next in 2020), a large sailing convention that attracts hundreds of tall ships. The modern architecture of the city is impressive, such as the Atlantic Sail Hotel, next to The Climate House & Ship Museum. Natusch Fischereihafen-Restaurant must be one of the best fish restaurants in Germany, with a menu for all tastes and budgets. If you are in Bremerhaven and want a really nice meal this is the place to go.
