Cruises from Battle Harbour

Battle Harbour is a restored, 19th Century fishing village, now a summer fishing station, located on Battle Island, one of many islands lying east of the mainland coast of Labrador. It lies in Canada’s province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The island of Newfoundland likes 70 km to the south, and Battle Harbour is situated at the northern entrance to the Gulf of St Lawrence. The community was established in the 1770s to process saltfish, but following a major fire in 1930 and decline in cod fishing, ceased as a permanent settlement in the 1960s. Read more

The Battle Harbour Historic Trust was given the fishing premises and other properties on the island, which it has preserved and operates is season as a museum
