Cruises visiting Gladstone & all Gladstone cruises for  2019-2020

View Gladstone 2019-2020 cruises for 3 ships listing 7 cruises from Gladstone with today's best deals!

Gladstone, in Queensland, Australia, boasts sun, sea, national parks, and is the gateway to the south of the Great Barrier Reef – a vibrant part of the reef that has remained relatively untouched. While out on the water you can visit the nearby islands, including Herron Island, which is renowned for reef diving, and the uninhabited Wilson Island. Inland from the coastline you will find Cania Gorge National Park, which is abundant with sandstone cliffs. The region is also famous for its fishing and crabbing at sensational spots such as Lake Awoonga, the Boyne, and Calliope Rivers. One can also drop a line in the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

Unwind on one of the coast's beautiful family-friendly beaches or get active with kayaking, snorkelling, surfing or sand boarding. If you prefer a little more adventure, don’t be afraid to get off the beaten track and enjoy our pristine National Parks, where rough and ready 4WD trails and walking tracks abound. Alternatively, explore the Gladstone City Centre, the dining and entertainment hub of the city. Set on either side of a hill in close proximity to the harbour, aspects of the city centre offer spectacular glimpses of the iconic Port and Marina, which can be enjoyed over a coffee or meal from a range of pleasant alfresco venues in the main street.

The Southern Great Barrier Reef offers a real Robinson Crusoe experience with all the comforts of home. Gladstone Port is the world’s fourth largest coal exporting facility, at 50 million tonnes annually. Other exports include alumina, aluminium, cement products, liquid ammonia, and liquified natural gas. The port area is currently undergoing large expansion and dredging to increase shipping terminals, as the major port for Central Queensland.
