Introducing Carnival Spirit

Oceania Cruises - Your World, Your Way

Oceania Cruises visits 252 ports starting from $121/day - discover them all here.
Oceania Cruises, based in Florida, operates four luxury cruise ships on world-wide itineraries. Three ships are the very popular 684 passenger R Class (aka Explorer) vessels – with that smaller ship ambiance couched in luxury – and two larger 1,250 passenger ships entering service in 2011/2012.

It is currently the world's largest upscale cruise line, offering a destination-intensive, floating-hotel experience, with cuisine "finest at sea" and superior service at a mid-market price. Many new destinations are added annually, and include the South Pacific, Caribbean and South America, the Middle East and Asia. Many overnight port stays allow passengers to immerse themselves in the history, culture and local flavour of the regions.

Oceania ships offer theme cruises – 'Signature Sailings' – that explore culinary, wine, music and health themes. Her vessels have a high ratio of standard balcony staterooms. Dress code is country-club casual, and your fellow-guests are likely middle-aged and older couples seeking relaxation. Dining is free-style in the main dining rooms and three specialty restaurants.

The spas offer premium services at reasonable prices. Fitness centres offer Pilates and yoga, along with the usual aerobics classes. The company offers one of the industry's best value-for-money options in cruising... All gratuities are included in the fare which is what Australian passengers prefer.

The R Class Medium Size Cruise Ships

Known at the time as the Super 8, the eight R Class Vessels of Renaissance Cruises were the pride of their upmarket fleet when built between 1998 and 2001. (Their fleet also included Orion II which sails our waters today.)

Following the demise of Renaissance Cruises after September 11, all of the vessels were chartered or sold to other cruise lines (Azamara, Oceania, Princess & P&O) and continue to operate to this day, frequently visiting us Down Under.

The R Class cruise ships (also known as Explorer class) were a marvel of their time, and continue to be very popular today with the ambience and intimacy these mid-size vessels excel at. They carry fewer than 700 passengers, so one never feels crowded, and time getting on and off the ship is minimal.

It's affordable luxury afloat, and that's why we love them - in fact EVERY ONE OF THEM has been sailed on by one or more of our cruise team and many of these ships have enticing specials available at our website today:
