My accommodation was an Oceanview Stateroom, averaging around 185 square feet. Each stateroom features a large picture window, twin beds convertible to a king, a flat-screen television, a private bathroom with shower, and a vanity with storage space. While modest in size, the layout is efficient and well designed, offering comfortable accommodation for couples or small families, along with the benefit of natural light and sea views.
The ship’s public spaces are designed to cater to different guest preferences. The atrium acts as a lively central hub, hosting daily events and live music throughout the cruise. Poolside areas create a relaxed holiday atmosphere, with plenty of loungers and casual dining options available, while the Beach Club provides a quieter, adults-only space. Bars, lounges and themed venues are spread throughout the ship, offering variety in both ambience and activity depending on the time of day.
Entertainment and activities onboard are extensive, options include Broadway-style production shows, comedy clubs, karaoke and live music, ensuring there is something to suit a wide range of tastes. Family-friendly programming, trivia, poolside activities and Dive-In Movies also run regularly, keeping guests of all ages engaged.
For those seeking more active pursuits, the Adventure Park onboard includes waterslides, which are complimentary, along with attractions such as the Flying Fox, rock climbing wall, abseiling, Walk the Plank and the Bridge Roof Walk, all available at an additional charge. These features add to the ship’s appeal for active families and complement the more traditional cruise amenities available throughout the ship.
Food quality is consistent, offering a mix of international dishes and familiar favourites. Service in the main dining rooms is attentive, with staff demonstrating both efficiency and friendliness. Specialty dining venues and casual eateries provide additional options, catering to a range of preferences and budgets.
Our itinerary included Noumea, Mystery Island and Port Vila. To make the most of time in Noumea and Port Vila, I would recommend booking one of the available shore excursions, as neither town lends itself particularly well to exploring on foot. Mystery Island, by contrast, is easy to explore independently and offers a range of optional water-based activities. It is also possible to walk around the island to find a quiet spot beneath the palm trees, or enjoy a beachside massage or hair braiding.
Carnival Adventure is a comfortable entry point for guests new to cruising, as well as those who enjoy a relaxed and informal onboard atmosphere. With a strong kids and teen program, it offers a good-value family holiday option, combining entertainment, activities and accessible pricing.
