Deb Galloway
Cruise Specialist | CLIA Master
In 2012, Deb joined 3 of her friends in a quad cabin on her first ever cruise, 7 days later after skirting a cyclone and an unscheduled stop in Cairns, she was hooked! 6 months later she dragged her husband onboard and luckily he was hooked as well and their shared passion started. Within 12 months, Deb had changed her whole career to become a Travel Agent specialising in cruise and she has never looked back. Deb has done over 40 cruises including Ocean and River cruising. Her motto is, 'if it floats, I will get onboard". The next stops on her cruising list are Asia, Africa, Southern Europe, the Canary Islands and Morocco. The next best thing to cruising is planning one!
What is your favourite cruise destination you visited & why?
Just one is too hard, so Deb has 2. Snorkeling at Lizard Island with turtles grazing beneath us in under 2 meters of water and giant clams everywhere. And Moscow, dancing in Red Square, seeing the changing of the Guard and going inside the Kremlin, the fabulous underground railway stations - it was a truly unique place to visit.
What is your favourite cruise ship & why?
Celebrity Solstice - never feels crowded, great staff, fabulous food from the Buffet to Murano and everywhere in between, some of the best cocktails out and the wonderful Ice topped Martini Bar make this lady a cruise ship to remember
Favourite cruise tip you give your clients
Remember your stateroom walls are metal, magnetic hooks are brilliant at helping to keep your cabin organised. Its a good idea to have multiples in different sizes which can hold everything from hats to hangers.
