Cruises from West Point
West Point Island is one of the Falkland Islands lying west of West Falkland. Once a popular site for slaughtering seals, it is now owned by the Napier family and run as a sheep farm and tourist attraction. With a population consisting of only four people, visitors are fascinated to see their little home and appreciate their self-sufficiency. A walk across the island provides visitors with the opportunity to see the wildlife that includes Rockhopper penguins, and possibly some Commerson's dolphins.
There are a few trees, an abundance of Felton Plant, as well as some introduced plants that include - to name but a few - roses and daisies. Spectacular cliffs are a feature of the coastline.
