Cruises from Sanya
Sanya is located on the southern end of Hainan Island in the South China Sea, on a peninsula parallel to the mainland coast of China, and linked to the mainland by bridges. Being the southern-most tip of China, it is often called ‘Oriental Hawaii’. Renowned for its two main tourist beaches, there are numerous other activities on offer. There are two hot springs within a half-hour’s drive, a tiger and crocodile restoration centre, nearly deserted rainforest parks, scuba diving on reefs of red coral, and day boat trips to small nearby islands.
One of the favourites is Monkey Island, where a colony of 1,800 macaques roams freely.
