Cruises from Klaksvik
Klaksvik is as fishing port on the island Borðoy, one of the northernmost of the Faroe Islands. The archipelago is within the Kingdom of Denmark, and is situated about 400 km north of Scotland. The island group is equidistant from Scotland, Norway and Iceland. The approach to Klaksvik by sea in the summer shows the colourful village nestled along the shores of a narrow 1.5 km ‘fjord’, flanked on either side by snow-capped hills.
Small fishing vessels moor along the jetties, warehouses and industry service buildings. The climate is classed as subpolar oceanic climate, and the islands are windy, cloudy and cool throughout the year.
