Cruises from Elafonisos
Elafonisos is a small island just 500 m south of the Peloponnese peninsula, the southernmost mainland of Greece. The island would fit into a triangle with 7 km sides. A further 110 km to the SE is the large island of Crete. The island’s population of 350 swells during July and August by 3000 visitors daily. Near the ferry terminal is a line of seafood taverns. Try the Barbounia (red mullet) and a glass of ouzo. The island is known for its light coloured beaches and blue-green waters.
