Cruises from Contadora Island
Contadora Island lies 65 km SE of the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal. It is part of the Pearl Island Archipelago in the Gulf of Panama. The island’s name, “counter” in Spanish, means that here all the pearls collected from the surrounding islands were counted and sold to the Spaniards; also Spanish conquistadors counted booty before returning to Spain.
