Cruises from Cape Dorset
The Inuktitut name for Cape Dorset (population 1440), Kinngait, refers to the picturesque hills that surround the community. Located on SW Baffin Island, just north of Hudson Bay, Canada, it has been inhabited for over 1,000 years. Thule and Inuit archaeological sites are located in the Mallikjuaq Historic Park, adjacent to the community. In summer, local outfitters take tourists to the park by boat and provide guided tours.
