Cruises from Bintulu (for Simalajau National Park)

Bintulu is a coastal town, and the capital of Bintulu District in the Bintulu Division of the state of Sarawak, East Malaysia. It lies on the northern side of the island known as Borneo (or to Indonesians, Kalimantan). This small fishing village was acquired in 1861 by the (white) Rajah James Brooke in 1861, who built a fort there and established Malaysia’s first legislature system. The 1955 airport was built in the middle of the town (and is now an industrial site and for the Borneo International Kite Festival in September). Read more
