Cruises from Amasra
Amasra is a small town set on a fortified promontory jutting northward into the Black Sea in Turkey. It has a long history dating all the way back to pre-Christian times, and actually lies beneath the ramparts of a fortress. As it is difficult to get to by road, it receives only a moderate number of summer visitors, and retains a pleasantly relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Red-topped houses are scattered over the peninsula with only the minarets of the Fatih mosque rising above Amasra's attractive low skyline.
