Novorossiyk is a city in southern Russia, in Krasnodar Krai. It is the country's main port on the Black Sea, and enjoys a Mediterranean climate. It is home to many archaeological and historic monuments such as the Square of Heroes, with its interesting changing of the guard, that commemorates the people's contribution to the defeat of the Nazi troops on November 19, 1943.
