Mantanani Island, also known as Mermaid Island, is one of the most beautiful islands off the west coast of Sabah, Malaysia. Actually comprising three islands, it is considered special due to the presence of dugong. Isolated, and until recently relatively unknown, with its surrounding coral reefs and crystal clear blue water lapping white sandy beaches, it has become an excellent snorkelling and scuba diving adventure location.
