Each time we have booked through CC we have always had great cabins for very reasonable costs. Always friendly, efficient staff. Many thanks. Always love the cruise travel pack you send out too. A nice personal touch."

Cruises visiting Lumut & all Lumut cruises for  2019

View Lumut 2019 cruises for 1 ships listing 1 cruises from Lumut with today's best deals!

Lumut lies on the west coast of the Malaysian peninsula, a fishing village and staging point for the offshore private resort Pangkor Island. It lies mid-way between Kuala Lumpur and Penang, on the Malacca Strait opposite Sumatra. Its name comes from Malaysian for the moss or seaweed that was once found liberally on the beaches. Lumut is home to the Royal Malaysian Navy and Boustead Naval Shipyard. With its on-going tourist development you’ll find a waterfront promenade, shopping and dining area, and not far afield a number of resort developments and beaches.

Places to visit include Mangrove Park with its monkeys, Teluk Batik Snorkelling Park, and the RAHMAT Maritime Museum with a battleship to explore. Dine at Malay, Italian, and Indian restaurants. Parking on weekends is horrific with so many taking the ferry to Pangkor Island. Six kilometres out of town is Teluk Batik, a favourite for campers and picnickers, enticed by the warm waters for swimming and canoeing.
