We were so happy with Rob Warner we recommend him to friends and they have booked their honeymoon cruise with him. I do like the little email reminders when a payment is due and the paperwork being posted out, very convenient."

Fishguard, one of the twin towns at the heart of North Pembroke shire, is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty that blends the allure of sea, towering cliffs, the Preseli Hills, ancient standing stones and delightfully mysterious valleys such as Cwm Gwaun. Ideally situated for gentle and challenging walks take the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, surrounded by Britain’s only Coastal National Park. You’ll find family owned shops and businesses as well as Galleries, Gift and Antique shops – and plenty of quality or budget cafés, pubs and restaurants – all offering a warm Welsh welcome.

There’s always plenty to do in North Pembrokeshire whether adventuring with sailing, kayaking, hiking, or sitting on a beach with an ice cream. For rainy days there’s the gym and swimming, Goodwick’s prizewinning Brass Band, live music, or one of the renowned music festivals. With Stena Line ferries sailing twice a day to Rosslare in Ireland, Fishguard is a favourite stop off point before crossing the Irish Sea. The friendly Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall is always ready to help. In 1797 the last ever invasion of mainland Britain took place when a French force landed three miles west of Fishguard.

The fascinating story of this event is told on a 30.4m long by 53cm deep embroidered tapestry, named the Last Invasion Tapestry, which was designed and sewn by almost 80 local women. It is in a similar format and shape as the Bayeux tapestry and is now internationally famous. The tapestry was commissioned as a permanent legacy of the Invasion Bicentenary commemorations in 1997. It took four years to complete and is on permanent exhibition in a purpose-built gallery attached to the Library in Fishguard Town Hall. Museum exhibits and an audio-visual room showing films related to the bicentenary and the making of the Tapestry are included in the gallery.
