Faaborg (Fåborg) is a town situated in a protected bay wth a good harbour, located in Faaborg-Midtfyn municipality on the island of Funen in Denmark. It is first mentioned in 1229 as a castle, and the town celebrated its 775th anniversary in 2004. It is noted as the birthplace of artist Niels Moeller Lund.
