Our cruise choice is based purely on new and different destinations, not travel agents or actual cruise line, so at the moment we have run out of ideas of safe and interesting places to visit where we haven't been before, and therefore may not find anything to book!! Therefore no reflection on our past experiences with you or the cruise line."

Heligoland is a small German archipelago in the SE corner of the North Sea. Helgoland's rust-coloured sandstone cliffs jut dramatically out of the North Sea some 70 kilometres from the mainland. Lange Anna, a single finger-like rock formation, covered by breeding sea birds in the spring, should not be missed. Heligoland is a fine destination even in the middle of winter, while in the summer visitors can enjoy swimming here due to its unique natural setting and subsequent mild maritime climate. Various themed trails guide holidaymakers through the island's flora and fauna to the world's smallest nature conservation area – the Lummenfelsen.

Be sure to visit the aquarium that closely mimics natural conditions, and offers visitors an exciting insight into the underwater world of the North Sea. The charming Heligoland Museum showcases the island's history and culture, while those seeking a real flavour of the island should make a trip to the heritage-listed fishermen's houses in the harbour, where they will get the chance to try a freshly caught local delicacy – the world-famous Heligoland lobster. Then there’s the option of relaxing at the excellent Aura-Soma Spa, but be aware that no clothing is allowed in the spa.
